also where is quintessence

i'm experiencing a huge issue rn. the automation tabs dont work anymore, and if i try to switch, it says it switched, but it's still on the tab i was on, and if i keep switching, it still doesn't do anything, closing the automation window, opening it, reloading the page, closing the tab, doesnt do anything PLEASE HELP

i think the automation options are nice but still too limited.

i want an option to balance pips by output, not just by equal number. because you can get the most light by making sure all color tanks are full before convergence (as far as i know) and i have to manually adjust all colors each time i get an upgrade or extra pips. i am spending so much time perfecting the ratios that i am usually just about ready to get the next sector or constellation star by the time finished balancing...

it is keeping me so busy that i can't really call this an idle game, half of the time. now if only those sectors in the fractured void were faster to unlock...

I definitely think that high yield white essence needs a bit more finagling and balancing, as it automatically putting so many pips on the first row when they fill quickly and then not reallocating the pips when those tanks are full just feels like a waste of pips and time.

idea: implement a button in the automation manual controls that puts the remaining pips you have in the proportion that they are in now, to the nearest pip. this would decrease the amount of finagling required to get the system to work perfectly, making the game on average more entertaining.

i found a bug, or rather a weird behavior that could be a bug and a little change i would like to suggest.

the bug is related to automatic converging and time warp.

i have the downloaded version of the game running in the background and the auto convergence only seems to happen whenever i switch back to the game. since this happened at least five times in a row i am quite sure this counts as a bug.

and second issue, the time warp seems to get interrupted way too easy. often when i come back to see the game progress the time warp that i clearly had running when i left had stopped itself maybe a minute or so after switching windows. meaning i have to babysit the timewarp for a while before i can leave it running, which is getting quite annoying...
so i would like to suggest switching how the time warp works from running normally progression just with multiplied values, to an instant reward related to the null essence paid to progress time. this would fix the babysit issue without you having to sift through all the code to find the issue and allows for a faster progression especially in the second and third phase of the game.

and probably any future phase you will add just as much.

though the third phase does need some adjustment in general. please let players see what a field does or rewards it can give before buying it! i am quite frustrated at not being able to see where the rare and useful caches are hiding and wasting hours of idle waiting time to get the necessary light to progress. seriously, that waiting time is WAY too high! what good is getting a 5% increase in light generation for empty fields when each row of distance cost 100% more than the last and i need to explore very single field to ensure i don't miss on the impoertant rewards? if those 5% rewards would stack multiplicative or exponentially it would break even at some point but a flat bonus is pretty much useless. and i am saying this after spending around 30 hours of idling to buy just 21 fields !

please, Please fix this. and make it faster and easier to properly progress.

Stage 3 is fun, but the random early poking around in Fractured Void feels tedious for no reason. Even with the 6 million light caches, if you mess those up you're pretty much softlocked until you happen to figure out where the new constellations can be found.

There's a small bug, I noticed.

If I have the "Null" menu opened and switch tabs to "The Hole", the adjustment slider for "Time Warp" keeps getting displayed.

This is not the case for the "Star Chart" or "Fractured Void" tabs though.

I'm certain the dev won't be addressing any bugs until the completion of stage 4, which coming out around the end of the month.

Importing a save doesn't give Null Essence.

So...offline farming no longer works. Unless Null Essence was supposed to REPLACE that, it seems like normal essence no longer generates while offline.
On the bright side, High Yield mode now works even better, and starts filling up tanks once white essence is full.

no idea. maybe it is just because of the extra lore paragraph.

the extra stars for upgrades are definitely appreciated though.

I really love this game, but there is a bug that prevents me from going on.

I can't craft pristine light. I can neither move it nor can i input the number manually. Now i can't protect my sectors and can't buy anymore without the void starting to act

do you produce the T1 shards Scarlet Light, Golden Ray and Azure Crystal? if not than that could be your problem then you need a certan amount of them plus light to make pristine light

Loving the game so far! Not sure how I got this visual bug, but the connecting lines and outlines for the stars have never appeared! I tried different browsers, and downloading the game even. Makes it hard to find what I'm planning to upgrade, but I can still see them when I have enough light to purchase. Very fun game!

when is null essence supposed to be produces? I've been leaving the tab, leaving the window, leaving the desktop even, and it doesn't generate null essence? do I need to close the tab???

edit: tried turning off the computer and it didn't generate null essence

You definitely have some sort of glitch, I can be away from the tab for 18 seconds and it works fine, I recommend copying your save and pasting it into a different browser and seeing if that's the issue 

well i just got 3k after my computer restarted and i couldn't reopen the tab, and it's giving me essence now, but it's at like 5% speed

Auto-Converge no longer seems to work while Manual Control is active. This is very annoying.

How are you supposed to stabilize a void nexus structure?

I decided to browse itch and I'm glad i did that because this game is literally pawsomes,,, Just got to the light color split (CC, GS, AR) and have had a lot of fun so far! Looking forwards to see what the game has in store. My single complaint so far is that the Cyan/Magenta/Amber placement is asymmetrical, but I doubt most people even noticed that.

First time using Null, and I already like it a lot. the speedup feels great, and watching your Light jump a few million in a couple of seconds is awesome.

Does anyone have a fractured void save? I copied my data but forgot to actually paste it anywhere before resetting my computer...

Got to the Void today - really enjoying this one. Story feels robust, and the idle mechanic feels really inspired.

Only criticism is that getting the PIP AI to function properly was a bit of a struggle, and I never figured out how to get the manual percentages working, so I’m just running manual flat numbers right now. Would love a mode similar to High Yield: Light Essence, but that automatically cascades the points to Cyan/Magenta/Amber when White is full, then cascades the points to Orange/Purple/Green, etc

I feel as if it could be nice to have a PIP AI to generate equal amounts of each resource. Instead of having the balanced PIP AI which means there is equal amount of PIPs it could generate the same amount of each color.

Yeah, the Balanced PIP AI would be fantastic if all the bonuses were equal, but it just makes my red/blue/yellow fill up in seconds and continues to treat them like that’s equitable.

If it helps - this is the spread I use for my own endgame Fractured Void setup.  It ends up raising all of the colors just about equally, with White filling up maybe ten seconds after the others finish for maximum bonus from Purity.  Set Autoconverge to its max limit, and let it rip.

I feel like I'm doing something wrong. I left the game after finishing stage 2 and after a day of playing and trying to optimize i get aprox 83k light every 3 minutes with automation. Tried some longer runs but it is always less light per minute. I want to play stage 3, but waiting 2Hours for 4M to unlock the next void sector feels like shit. Any recomendations? I have 1000 PIPSand a 120% bonus light from the void sectors. I'm doing 3 minutes runs to max the basic colors and whatever white i can get in those 3 minutes for bonus light. Thank you.

Same for me. I only do 1 minute runs because longer runs significantly reduces light/minute. Longer runs aren't more rewarding than shorter runs like the patch notes suggest.

Are you on high yield white essence? You can get significantly higher amounts by switching to balanced, and on top of that longer runs are actually more rewarding. I've been working on like 43k/min for the past couple weeks and just found that out, resonance is no joke :P

I've noticed in this update that the Secondary Color Bonuses to make them faster seems to make them drain more from the Primary Colors? Specifically my Green Mixer has a 125% bonus, and the points per second for Yellow and Blue are 5 more than that of Red with a 40p Orange, 40p Purple, and 30p Green setup.

Ah! Nevermind, perhaps this is intentional with the "more ingredient efficient" bonuses.
